Its amazing to think how much Lt. Daniel Caffee changes for the better. Being a rude and unprofessional lawyer is now in Lt. Caffee’s past. He Daniel is not in fear of living up to his father’s expectations. In fact, surpassing them has made him very happy. Dawson and Caffee finally respect one another. Caffee says to dawson with sympathy “You don't need to wear a patch on your arm to have honor.” Dawson responds to this by giving Caffee his first well desired solute.

Gallaway almost messes the case up several times but he decides to be supportive and understanding. He finally comprehends that people can make mistakes.
