Magna Carta

The Magna Carta was a written document that the king of England John, was forced to sign June 15, 1215. This was necessary for the people of England because they need basic rights to survive as an economy and physically. They need easier trade, less taxing, and a limited monarchy. My thesis is that the Magna Carta was necessary for the people of England.

The need for trade from outside countries was necessary it was not possible for England to provide for them selves, not cause they were not capable but, because they couldn’t do it where they were cause of location. Before the Magna Carta people from other countries could not enter England legally without proper documents and permission. The Magna Carta allowed all merchants to enter and exit England, as


King John the king of England at the time was not the best England had ever seen. He was very greedy and had a very powerful way about him. When he needed more money mostly to show his own power and just make himself happy he would send members of his army out to collect some as “taxes” from the people. This is where the idea of no taxation with out representation was derived from. He needed a reason to tax other than just for the point of taxing. The people of England need there money to buy the highly expensive imports. They were so expensive because of the trouble and also they needed it for there own goods.
