Religion is very big in the United States. There are a lot of people who think religion is a good thing and there are a lot of people who think religion is non-sense. I am the kind of person who thinks religion is a very good thing. Everyone needs someone to look towards and who better to look towards than Jesus Christ himself.
I feel religion is a very important part of life. The main reason why religion is important is because everyone needs someone to look towards. If someone thinks they have no one to look to for help they are wrong because Jesus Christ himself is always there to help. No matter what is wrong he will be there to help. As all you have to do is pray to him and he will guide you through it, in my eyes anyway.

I have also realized in the past with many situations how serious people can be about their religion. Things that some people do, being a Catholic for instance, people in the Catholic Church do not believe in Gays, and homosexuality. Being a Catholic I don’t think people should discriminate on how they love another person. Even though straight people are respected more I just believe that God makes things happen for a reason and if someone is gay and in the Catholic religion then they should be respected for who they are and not for whom they love. Love is a very strong word that should not be taken lightly and if someone loves someone then they should know the depth of love and how much it could mean to another person.
Another reason why religion is good is because when death occurs, the family of the deceased likes to know that their loved one is going to heaven, and that the deceased is taken care of for eternity. I know that if I was to die I would want to die in peace
