Death Penalty
Brian Bode Death Penalty If the government executes murderers and there is in fact no deterrent effect the government has killed a lot of murderers. IF the government fails to execute murderers and in doing so would, in fact, have deferred other murderers. The government will be allowing the killing of innocent victims. Performing the death penalty has two sides. Some people are pro death penalty and some are opposed to . Both sides have a reasonable stand point. Even though the death penalty and life in prison seem very opposite they do in fact have some similarities. For one the death penalty and life in prison are both extreme punishment. The crimes committed to receive the death penalty are usually the same or equal to the ones that result to life in prison. These are specific crimes that result in a person’s death. Such crimes include armed robbery, hijacking, and kidnapping. Both punishments also may seem cruel and unfair to certain peopl
Another difference in the death penalty and life in prison is your life. If you receive the death penalty there is no second chance, even if they find out your innocent. Having life in prison allows this second chance. I believe the death penalty should be abolished. Giving the death penalty makes no sense. Giving the death penalty contradicts the government because they are committing the same sin as the person being put to death. Also the death penalty causes no second chance while being in jail if you are found innocent afterwards you would be free, so the government could kill an innocent person. Also receiving the death penalty actually sounds a lot better than life in prison, so giving someone life in prison would be the actual best punishment. This causes the government not to have to commit a sin in their punishment. Which one would actually be better, should either of them even be done? If the government kills a murderer, would it really be the worse punishment. If the government does not
