But as we look towards the future the new technology will help to aid people in the battle and help in early detection. Currently surgeons are developing several techniques that destroy tumors while sparing breast tissue, experimenting with new ways to deliver radiation that more closely targets the tumor and are finding ways for patients to avoid chemotherapy. With this new technology and the will to live each day we are getting closer to beating breast cancer and making sure that it does not take anymore victims.
