Computers

I would to consider myself an expert when it comes to putting computers together. There are many steps to putting a computer together correctly so that when you hit the power button it turns on and works right. In this paper I will outline the major parts to putting a computer together. After I am done I hope you will be able to think that if you where forced to put one together, you could at least be able to with detailed instructions.
The first step in putting a computer together is to round up all the parts you need. There are ten things you are going to have to have in order to make a functional computer. These parts are a mouse, monitor, keyboard, CPU, motherboard, power supply, case, hard drive, video card, and a floppy drive. On average you can save between $200 and $600 when you build your own computer. The reason for this is because if you use online computer manufacturing companies you can get computer hardware and software items cheap.
The next step is to find a place free of static electricity. If your motherboard gets shocked you will have a big paper weight or doorstop, whichever one is needed it for. Once you have found this spot remove the motherboard from the wrapping. Line up the holes with the one in the case. Next insert brass fasteners then put your motherboard back on top and carefully screw the motherboard back down.
Now comes attaching everything to the motherboard. The big power cord coming off the power supply needs to be plugged into the middle of the motherboard where the 11 pin connector is located. Next the will need to be plug into the AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) port it is a small sandwich looking connector. Next the most difficult part comes. The CPU, this is where you've got to be very careful. Take your CPU and lift the lever on the motherboard and gently place the CPU in the right position and slowly push down the lever. .
Now that the hard part is done you now have to install the heatsink and fan.
