Artificial Inteligence
Artificial Intelligence is a type of science that deals with helping machines find answers to problems in a more human-like way. To do this, scientists are using the characteristics from humans and making it so that computers understand these human ways. AI is a part of computer science, but it also links with other fields like Math, Psychology, Cognition, Biology and Philosophy. The goal of the computer scientists is to combine the knowledge from all these fields to create an AI. Science fiction has shown machines capable of thinking and acting for themselves, but what was once fiction is now becoming the topic for serious debates for researchers and writers. One day we will give life to a new race of intelligent beings that are artificially powered. As time progresses, machines will reach a level of intelligence that will challenge, or even surpass our own, and I don’t think we can do anything to change that that is going to happen. Major movies such as the matrix and terminator were produced that were based on robotic take over. I think that once this mechanical race starts, major problems will also begin. The morals and values of these robots will almost surely be way different from ours. How would humans be able to reason or talk with such robots? Why should such an intelligent race robots want to take any notice at all to humans? It would be like humans today obeying cows! robots could outperform humans rather than have them be exactly like them. It might be argued that we would never be stupid enough to give all the power to the machines, but I am suggesting neither that the human race would voluntarily turn power over to the machines nor that the machines would willfully seize power. What I am thinking is that we might easily allow ourselves to be put into a position where we are so reliant on the machines that we would have no choice but to accept all of the machines' decisions. As time passes, and problems becoming more and more complex making the machines more and more intelligent, people will let machines make more of their decisions for them, simply because machine-made decisions will bring better results than man-made ones. Eventually a stage may be reached at which the decisions necessary to keep everything running will be so complex that we will be unable of making them intelligently. At that stage the machines will be in control of
