Proposal For Motivating & Increasing Participation of the Sales Lead Incentive PlanThe sales lead incentive plan awards program, introduced in 1993, provides opportunities for UPS employees to locate new sources of volume and be recognized for helping to grow the business. By looking for new volume opportunities and turning in sales leads that result in new sources of volume, UPS employees can play an even greater role in the success of the organization. The program enables every UPS employee to serve as the “eyes and ears” of the organization by finding ways to grow the core business. In return, UPS employees get rewarded for their efforts. Although this program exists, an overwhelming amount of UPS employees do not participate. This could be due to the fact that the employees are unaware of the benefits and how the program works. Since I believe that low employee participation is due to the fact that employees are unaware of the benefits and how the program works, I propose that I can motivate a
Under my proposal, I will inform the employees on how the program is a “win-win” situation. I will let them know that there are two ways to enter a sales lead. You can enter the potential customer’s information on a sales lead card or you can enter the information into the DIAD. Entering the information into the DIAD is the preferred way because it is fast and paperless.
