When you first start out playing soccer, at a young age, you don’t play of the same size field that you see the professionals on. You start out on a much smaller field. You also start out with only five players on the field at once instead of eleven and also there are no goalies. As you get older then the larger your field will get and the more players will be on the field at once. Soccer also has different divisions and different age groups. There are different once for boys and for girls. When you first start out on youth you are on a recreational team in the recreational league. They have teams where boys and girls are on the same team. Then you move up to the Athena league, which is for girls, and travel all over the state to play against all of the teams in your division.
