September 11th
Terrorism is one of the more repulsive things in this world. No matter what country you decide to live in there will be terrorism to a certain extent. Some organizations are bigger than others and some are smarter than others, but there is one thing they all have in common, that is that they cause havoc in this world and harm innocent people. There is still another thing that all of these terrorist organizations have in common that that is that they are under attack by the United States of America. America right now is in a war against terrorism and has said that they will completely eradicate terrorism and all forms of it. America started this war on basis of the September 11th attacks and if all the evidence was laid out on a table, it is clear that America was justified in taking drastic steps to end the threat of terrorism in this world. September 11th is a very sad day for the United States of America. On September 11th American Airlines Flight 11, Flight 77, United Airlines Flight 175, and Flight 93 were hijacked by men holding small razors and other weapons, with the passengers of the airplanes not knowing the fate that awaits them. Of these four airplanes two were used to crash in to the World Trade Center Towe
Osama Bin Laden’s attack on the United States was not only an attack, but was also an act of war. War can be defined as “an actual intentional and widespread armed conflict between political communities” (Orend). In August of 1996 Osama Bin laden official declared war on the United States of America. This alone is enough evidence to go in to war with Him, but at that time the threat of Bin Ladden was not known, and America did not feel that a terrorist organization would be willing to carry out a war. Bin Laden in the years to follow committed numerous acts of terror against the United States, but then On September 11th, he committed the true act of war. He started the intentional armed conflict with the United States by hijacking the 4 airplanes and crashing them in to the destined locations. After this, America was quick to declare war on Osama Bin Ladden and all other terrorist organizations. This being the definition of War, Osama Bin laden is most definitely guilty of an act of war. If America does not act on the September 11th attack, then the terrorist organizations will keep on growing and growing until the world is unable to stop them. There have been many acts of terror all around this world, some kill many and others don’t kill any. The instances of terrorism in the United States go all the way back to 1920 where TNT was placed in a horse drawn wagon, then exploded on wall street killing 35 people. Then in 1975 a bomb was planted in fraunces tavern killing four and injuring more than 50 people. There was also a previous attack on the world trade center in 1993 where a bomb went off in the basement and killed 6 people and injured over 1040 people. One of the more publicized events was the bombings of Timothy McVeith, who bombed a federal office building in Oklahoma City. This killed 168 people and more than 220 buildings were given damage. (terra.com) Also the world must take in to consideration what the world would be like if America has instead not retaliated to Japan and let them go on and just tried to stop them with words. Japan would have taken over most of Asia and maybe even the world. This comes to show that when someone commits an act of war on another the right way to react is not just to sit around and try to send diplomats, but it is to retaliate. As in the case of Osama Bin Laden, we are not able to send diplomats to him because we do not know where he is, so thus the only liable and right option is to go to war with them. (US News October 8, pg.48) Before the September 11th attacks the death toll of terrorism was lower than this one event put together. This is not just an attack on the United States, but an attack on the whole world. Every single nation should fear this terrorist organization and the others that cause havoc all around the world. Previously the way that countries have dealt with the terrorism case if that they arrest the footmen who commit the crime. Now it is being noticed that that sort of action will not stop anything. So instead America and all the other nations must strike at the head of the terrorist organizations which are the government organizations that support the terrorist groups. America must cut the
