The movie is slow to start but keeps storyline interesting enough that you continue watching. It quickly turns into a guy film when guns are introduced to the film, including a quick draw holster. Personally I thought it was a good movie. What guy can complain about a taxi driver that goes ballistic and kills the low-lifes of New York City. The narration in the movie kept the viewers up to date and it was the thoughts of Travis which allowed you to understand exactly what he was thinking and possibly what makes people go insane. Taxi Driver is a story about New York and a man named Travis Bickle who has been grasped by the cesspool of human misery that flocks to the streets during the night. Travis is an ex marine and takes work as a taxi driver, he works late nights and long hours in hopes to find a meaning to his life, however each day he becomes more disillusioned by the thugs and murderers parading the streets. The free time he has is spent watching porn in the theatre. "She appeared like an angel, out of the filthness, she is alone, they can't have her."
