As a future teacher, I will be dealing with all sorts of children from various of backgrounds, and thus will need to be equipped with a strong knowledge of sociology and anthropology. Because I do not know what type of environment I will be working in as an elementary education teacher, it is crucial that I am prepared to deal with any and all types of people. For example, if I worked in school that contained mostly students from the lower end of the socioeconomic scale, I would need to understand where they were coming from, figuratively and literally. If I judged everyone on the same scale, it would be easy to make mistakes and hurt people’
