1870s to the 1920s. Technological advancements brought

about an organizational revolution which created a

nationally domestic market. This market was the foundation

on which our country still runs today and will continue to

run on. Many of the innovations and inventions have since

been updated and perfected to adapt to the changing times

through history but the base remains the same. Taking a

step back, we can reflect on how such inventions shaped our

country over one hundred years ago. From the first

trans-atlantic cable to the Model T Ford, America grew into

the most powerful nation in the world.
