Good morning class and Mrs. Just. Today I’m going to make you open your eyes to the possible future of our planet if there isn’t anything done about it. “Lake at the end of the World” by Caroline Macdonald is a novel that depicts a very accurate future that might be.
The world has been destroyed by a lot of pollution and people have been poisoned by mass cropping of forest’s to feed the grow world which has reached the point of starvation. A girl, Diana lives with her mum and dad next to this lake, this lake is basically the only known natural piece of evidence of what the world use to be like. They don't use the lake because they think it is polluted by the many chemicals that where dropped from the helicopters. The family used to contact other people by radio because there use to be other little groups like them which where only a short distance away, but that doesn't happen much anymore. Her mum and dad have given up on life because they have been away from civilization for to long but Diana doesn’t know any better because she was born after all
