The major I have chosen is Biological Chemistry. I have chosen this field of study because I find it interesting and there is always something new to discover in the world of chemistry. Also, this field of study covers pre med requirements if I want to go to medical school. This way if I don?t like biochemistry that much I can go into the medical field if I want to. I will have to transfer to the main campus for this major because all of the courses are not at the Stark Campus. Some of the fields of study covered are chemistry, biology, and biochemistry. To graduate with this major there is a required 121 total hours and 42 of those have to be upper division. Some of the required courses are General Chemistry I, II, the university LER?s, Basic sciences, and Calculus I, II. Two of the professors at the Kent State Stark Campus are Andrew Burns and Clarke Earley. Andrew Burns graduated with a Ph.D. from Brown University. Clarke Earley also graduated with a Ph.D., but from the University of Illinois. There are many opportunities that I found for getting scholarships.
