The solution of mouthwash and water is said to be a good substitute for hair rinses. The group decided to investigate if the solution is a more effective and cheaper substitute for hair rinses.
5.0 g of hair obtained from a member of the group were subjected to testing. Four setups containing different volumes of mouthwash with a cup of water and one setup containing 9.0 ml of shampoo and cup of water (which serves as the control of the experiment) were used. The strands, each having a weight of 1.0 g were immersed in the five different setups for one week. Results showed that the four experimental setups looked shinier than the control setup. Among the four experimental setups, the strands immersed in one that contains ΒΌ cup of mouthwash and a cup of water were shiniest. The three remaining experimental setups did not have any difference that can be seen with the naked eye. They all appear the same.
The mouthwash-H20 solution was, in a way, effective but not that economical. A bottle of mouthwash (250mL) that has a price of Php 110.00 can be used for 10 non-consecutive days, which means that it costs Php 11.00 for every use.

             INTRODUCTION.
             INTRODUCTION.
Hair needs to be shampooed and rinsed. Today, life is so fast-paced that even one's hair grooming is neglected. People do not shampoo properly.
Shampoos are designed to clean your hair and your scalp. They contain surfactants, or detergents, that lift dirt and oil off the hair so they can be rinsed away. Most shampoos clean your hair very well. Where they differ is how your hair feels afterward. Some surfactants are stronger than others, and might strip away too much of your natural oils. Most shampoos also contain a bit of conditioner, which can make a difference in how your hair feels afterward.
             STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM.
Since people of today do not shampoo really well, we have decided to make an alternative hair rinse - using mouthwash and H2O solution.
