Many personal and social necessities are provided for an individual through religion. These necessities include answers and guidance to personal as well as moral questions that arise within the individual’s life. These necessities may also include a way for an individual to connect with the fundamentals or the “divine power” of the religion is some fashion, through ritual, ceremony, or artistic expression. Another necessity that is provided through religion is the companionship and fulfillment that the individual receives from being part of a larger group or organization with other peers who have the same beliefs as them. Being in this group allows them to communicate, or preach their beliefs to one another and take part in any of the group activities associated with rituals, ceremonies, or other forms of personal expression. I believe that the ideal religion would include these basic fundamentals and allow the individual to practice this religion without any harm to themselves or other people around them.
