Crystallized intelligence is a form of intelligence that reflects the accumulation of verbal skills and factual knowledge (392). This can actually increases with age. It’s like the old saying “with age comes wisdom.” The older you get the more you can apply life experiences to other situations. A younger person may not know how to handle a situation the first time around, but when faced with that situation at a later age, they may take a different approach to get results.
