William Shakespeare- biographical sketch

William Shakespeare was a great English playwright, dramatist and poet who lived during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. “The sons of the period reflect the manners and tastes of all stations of its society and the range of emotions of its people (Long 1). “Shakespeare is considered to be the greatest playwright of all time (Ribner, 32)”. “Hamlet had it on his mind, once he talked to the ghost, that he was going to act insane and get revenge for his father’s death” (Ribner 57). Claudius had no idea that Hamlet knew what was going on, but he knew something was fishy about the way he was acting. Once Claudius noticed Hamlet’s sudden personality changes, he didn’t know what to do or what to expect. Hamlet did a great job of hiding his true feelings. He was able to get the revenge on his father’s death even though he died doing it.
