The business began when Wayne and his wife drove past the Pacific plaza complex and saw an advertisement for a supermarket wanted so they were straight on the phone. Newmac investments owns IGA, Wayne is the director of the company and Lynda (his wife) is the owner. There have been a few technical changes that resulted on the grounds of the fact that they had at one stage to plan for bankruptcy which is why Lynda owns the business. Wayne is very happy with the location now but he wasn’t back when they first opened up because nobody did know that there was a supermarket there, later on when there ran a completion in the store they found out that their only customers where the people that lived in Emerald Drive which is the street in front of IGA . They new it was there because they drove past it everyday. Wayne draws out a wage of $ 40
