Coldplay

Once in a great while, an incredible album is released, and you cannot seem to understand what makes it so memorable. The perfectly chosen lyrics along with simple melodies express the emotions that one could only feel, not speak. An album that will not get old, and boring as time passes, but one that will help you grow. This is Parachutes, by Coldplay.

The London-based band consists of four members: a vocalist, bassist, guitarist and drummer. Most would recognize this genre of music as indie-rock, mixed with a little bit of mellow British pop. Coldplay is unique, unlike any other band, and Parachutes reflects the very essence of their music.

Music is an expression of emotion. The lyrics in Parachutes use a lot of repetition of the same phrases; it lacks complexity. However, as some may see this as a weakness, the selection of a few simple words reflects more meaning and emotion into the purpose and message of the song. Throug
