History Of CATV Organization

In 1982, it only had 10 employees, 5 thousands users and only 3 channels. After 20 years development, HuaShi CATV Company has become a company that has over 500 employees and about almost 40,0000 users and cover the most areas of GuangXi province in China.

HuaShi CATV provides the services include television program production, advertisement service and so on. Now it provides 30 channels to the users, 2 channels of them are under the control of the company.

Recently, the company has already updated its network from coaxial cable network to fiber-optic network systems. By using this network, it can provide more than 100 channels with much better and more reliable signal and broadband internet access service.

The customers need to pay the register fees and monthly payment to the Finance Office.

The Customer Service Department provides services to the customers.

Cashier can only check for customers’ unpaid bill, confirm the customers have already paid the bill with a softcopy receipt (to Microsoft word). If a customer has not paid for three months, the system will inform the cashier and the cashier will ask the Support and Maintenances Department to cut off the line until the bill is settled by the customer.

As we mentioned above, the existing system is not powerful enough to support the company’s updated network. After the preliminary investigation, we have got an initial idea to build up our new system with the needed functions. Next step, we will make an interview with the supervisor of the company for further information about the new network and the features need by the company. We believe that our system will include all the features that satisfy the needs of the company, fully support the operations of the new network system and improve the efficiency and productivity of the company.
