Abortion

Abortion is a very controversial topic that is hard to take a stand on. It is difficult to understand the loss of a fetus which hasn’t been born. On the other hand, studies show that most unwanted pregnancies result in child abuse, whether it is physical or mental. There are also many cases in which the mother has no means to financially support her child. All of these infants, which are born to mothers who never wanted a pregnancy, have the odds set against them in the road of life. When people are offered the choice to abort a fetus which they know they can not support, it gives them hope for a better tomorrow and for another opportunity at redemption.

e and negative acts practiced upon children and by children, in need of acceptance throughout this country. Children suffer from a high rate of physical and psychological abuse as it is; if more unwanted children were forced to be born to parents who didn’t want them, then this rate could easily double or even triple. In the long run, the banning of abortion will cause child abuse rates to rise; when children get abused they will resort to drugs and violence in a plea for acceptance.
