The bridge was instrumental in creating the rich cultural diversity of the cities of New York because it was the route taken by many to reach New York in search of jobs and better prospects. The early workers who reached Brooklyn and Manhattan contributed very much to the economic aspects of the cities because most of them were immigrant workers from many countries and their labor was very much important for the country to build its infrastructure. The industrial boom that was caused by the cultural exchanges that happened between Manhattan and New York were also significant. The bridge helped to foster cooperation between the residents of Manhattan and New York and also helped in the development and consolidation of the two cities.
