Three kinds are drug rehab, alcohol rehab and behavior modification. Drug rehabs prevent the person from altering his mind and feelings so he/she has to deal with and learn how to be civilized. The in patient programs are usually consistent and less time than what would be received in prison. Rehab centers have proven to be a very effective source of therapy.
