Human disobidence
The story I chose from the bible is ¡§Human disobedience.¡¨ After God made a paradise for Adam and Eve, he also restricted them to eat from the tree of knowledge. Adam and Eve loved God dearly, certainly they would obey God; but the most crafty animal, snake, is waiting for the moment to destroy God¡¦s relationship with man. The snake instigated Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. Feeling the allure of the fruit, and how wonderful it is to become wise, Eve tried the fruit and gave it to Adam as well. The moment they gain wisdom, they also realized that they were naked. They hid themselves in the trees away from God, and that¡¦s about the end of the close relationship between God and humans. I think the most important features are the snake and the tree of knowledge. The tree of knowledge may represent the enticement of now world, and we seldom overcome our desire for things that aren¡¦t ours, just like the tree of knowledge actually belongs to God. The snake seemed positive that the fruit and its words would attract Eve, and it seems to know humans always attempt to disobey and cross their limitations; so the trick worked. Since the relationship was no longer perfect between God and human, God sent them away into
As a creator of all the things, God knew that Eve would eat the forbidden fruit. Why didn¡¦t God stop Eve? I¡¦ve heard a Christian say that it¡¦s because God gave us something special, which is free will, and if God stopped Eve from eating the forbidden fruit, then human can¡¦t make their decision, then there is no use of the free will. But there are still further questions. Why did God plant the tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden? I wonder why he took the chance to let his beloved human eat the forbidden fruit? Why did God even create the tree of knowledge in the first place? Why did God create Eve when he knew she would disobey him one day? Surely God knew what would happen! Then, why did God create Earth in the first place, and we have to live a life wondering if there is a God that¡¦s watching upon us? After God had seen all the sin happening in the world, and he knew from the day he created the universe that there would be so many evils on Earth today, did he create another ¡§Garden of Eden¡¨, or another ¡§Earth¡¨ elsewhere? Will there be ¡§humans¡¨ over there, too? Are they perfect? Would there be another tree of knowledge testing them? If there is such world, I guess these events wont repeat, and it would be better than the one I am living in right now. Maybe it would be a Garden of Eden that is as big as a planet, and I might be there when I die. I¡¦ve known this story for many years, but I guess I never learned a lesson from it. I guess it¡¦s because that everyone suffers the same, we also share the same punishment, and then, it doesn¡¦t seem like punishment at all. In other
