Yellowstone park

I am going to talk about Yellowstone National Park fires and what effect they have on the animals, the animals habitats, and also the flowers and trees. I will also discuss how much land is wasted and burnt from these fires.
             Animals.
All the animals that live in the park are mule deer, white tail deer, moose, elk, weasels, prairie dogs, wolfs, bear, several different kinds of cats, several varieties of birds and fish. Many of the animals are killed from the fires in the National Park. This is the main reason why the numbers of animals have been reduced. Not only do the animals die from the fire, they die because of the lack of food. When there is a fire many of the plants and grasses burn. There are also many trees that burn, like the oak trees that drop acorns. The animals starve to death because they have no food to eat or they travel far away to find other food. The heat is also a threat to the animals because with the lack of water they animals will dehydrate and die. Yellowstone National Park watchers help all they can by feeding the animals and watch for fires so they can get to them and put the fires out as quickly as possible. Heat and lightening cause forest fires along with carelessness of human beings. .
             Animal Habitat.
The wild life habitat that gets destroyed from forest fires is huge. About 3/8 to ½ of the Yellowstone National Park is destroyed from forest fires. This requires the animals that were living in the damaged area to travel and move to find a new home. Many of the animals die, as they have to travel long distances to find new habitats. The animals use the habitat to build their homes from and eat it. The habitat is sometimes used as a food source, such as the grasses and nuts from trees. Many of the animals die, move to new lands, or just stay there and use what is left from the fire. If they stay in the damaged area there will be little habitat left and the animals die.
