Gloval Warming

The earths climate is predictable to change because human activities are altering the chemical position of the atmosphere through the buildup of greenhouse gases ------ primarily carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. These gases have the heat-trapping property. Rising global temperatures are expected to threaten many types of ecosystems. Through the article I picked up, I want to explain what is the global warming, what are the impacts of it, and what should we do to solve this problem.
First of all, energy from the sun drives the earths weather and climate; in turn, the earth radiates energy back into space. According to the textbook, the tendency of carbon dioxide, methane, and other gasses to trap solar radiation is called the greenhouse effect, (Asking About Life, p.555). Heat is somewhat like the glass panels of a greenhouse. Without this natural greenhouse effect, temperature would be much lower than they are now, and life as known today would not be possible. .
However, problems may arise when the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases increases. The combustion of fossil fuels and other human activities are the primary reason for the increased concentration of carbon dioxide. Fossil fuels burned to run cars and trucks, heat homes and businesses are responsible for carbon dioxide emissions. Increased agriculture, deforestation, landfills, and mining also contributes a significant share of emission. The author of the textbook mentioned, human societies have increased the earths annual carbon dioxide production by 7.8 billion tons per year, and also said total carbon dioxide in our atmosphere has increased by 30 percent since 1750,(p.555).
Increasing concentration of greenhouse gases is likely to accelerate the rate of climate change. As the textbook reported, unless we reduce carbon dioxide emissions, the average temperature of the earths surface may increase by 3 or 4 degree over the next 75 years,(p.
