Reasons For A Declaration Of War
There are many reasons both for and against a declaration of war to resolve an opposing conflict. Though there are many different types of warfare, an aggressive means can be considered a just cause. However, in many cases, affirmative action cannot be a warranted solution. War is a delicate instrument of peace, not a ravaging hammer of conquest. In one instance, I believe that war can be declared on a common threat to the majority. Though we all have different cultures and beliefs, we have the right to defend that individuality from oppression or extinction. If an aggressor jeopardizes this right to exist, then war is definitely an ethical solution. Too many cultures in history have fallen to this fate, leaving us now, only to guess at its purpose or place. To discontinue the production of biological weapons and devices of mass devastation is also a basis for a declaration of war. Their sole purpose is to destroy a specific area or in some cases, entire countries. It poses a serious threat to the entire planet due to the hazards in it’s nature, range, construction, and use. I find no plausible reason why anyone should have access to those kinds of devices. Another rationale for an assertion of conflict is to aid th
I also find it irreputable to use violence for total control of a people or any political position. The right to exist on this planet is not to be interpreted as the right to total control over its people or all that exist on or on a part of it. We all have a right to live as we choose, but to force or inflict pain on a people to obtain power over them is repulsive. Though not as popular as land or religion, it is still a top reason for enticing a war. One of the last situations that I will mention is the control over resources for wealth or income. Unfortunately, wealth is a strong inspiration for conflict. To most, money is power and power is control. Each region has it’s own resources that are indigenous to that specific area. Or with a same reserve in several areas, the issue of quality becomes a factor. Either way, it is still a recipe for genocide. The last reason I will point out is the use of war for revenge or retribution. This instance has a few exceptions, but for this purpose, I find it in the wrong. In most cases, especially in the Middle East, there is a lot of innocent killing for revenge. Instead of targeting the source or those actually responsible, I have seen a number of futile bombings on those not responsib
