How The Crucible is a tragedy & John Proctor a tragic hero

Did you ever compare and contrast the themes of two stories that you really

liked? Well, I have compared and contrasted two stories. The two stories that I read

was called "The Bet" and "A White Heron." I never of thought that two stories could

have some much similarities and differences. Between the story of the "The Bet"

and "A White Heron" consisted a lot of similarities and differences.

In these two stories, The first similarity was that they both appreciated life. For

instance, in the story of "The Bet", at first the lawyer was happy to make the bet.

But, in the end he realized that life and freedom worth way more than money and

power. He chose wisdom and hope instead of the two million dollars. In the story

of "A White Heron", the little girl appreciated natures beauty and creation than money.

In the story Sylvia saved the white heron's life by not telling the man about the bird.

The second similarity that they both have is that both gave money for happiness. In the

story of "The Bet", the lawyer did not take the money because he wouldn't have been

happy with himself after reading the books and the magazines and understanding the
