After reading "To Build a Fire," by Jack London, I sat still for a few minutes reminiscing about things that I was told in my youth. One of them was my parents telling me to simply slow down and listen. Growing up ... that would have saved his life. This advice was ignored and unfortunately The Man had to pay the ultimate price. I take away a lot from this amazing short story written by Jack London, but the message that stands out the most is slow down and listen, and it might pay off in the long run....
