Restoration Drama In my opinion the restoration of the "Last Supper" by Leonardo De Vinci was necessary to salvage at least part of Leonardo's original work. I have always appreciated the character that years of patina add to furniture and probably would have appreciated the same in the "Last Supper". If I were to have seen it prior to it's restoration and was unaware of all the previous attempts I would have felt they should have left it alone and would have thought the restoration was too much.
