A stroke is simply defined as a brain attack. It is a cerebrovascular disease, meaning it affects parts of the brain which can effect the way your body works, and the way you think. A stroke occurs when the blood flow to the brain is cut off or clogged. The reason is because the brain needs a constant flow of blood. When the flow is disrupted, a stroke is lurking in the distance. The blood cells in your brain start to starve for the blood. The cells around it face danger also.
