It is my belief that defendants should never face a jury of their exact peers. The effect of allowing the defendant to go to court of there peers would destroy the whole system of what this country was built on. In our country's history blacks have fought to break threw racism and women, the right to vote. There have been so many battles won in our country with juries far from having anything in common with the defendant. Discussing Date Rape The presentation that I attended talked about the different kinds of rape. It was interesting and useful. The video that we watched gave a lot of information about the drugs and alcohol that are being used today. The guest speaker gave good examples and told good stories about rape.
