When papa was finally able to afford me and mamas fare for the boat ride to New York, I found out my beautiful picture of America was all wrong. ... He would send his runner to Italy on a shrimp boat called Little Italy. He would hide all the molasses under the shrimp just in case a hero ever wanted to search the boat even though almost the whole city was paid for. ... Well I guess it's better than a bullet in the back of the head at least I"ll have an open casket....
