It's a Dirty Job But Someone Has To Do It. Don't They?

This housekeeper is on the go from the time they put their feet on the floor till the time they finally fall into bed at night.
The housekeepers that clean once a day whether it needs it or not are in some ways similar to the ones who clean constantly. The similarities include the fact that everything in the house gets dusted, floors get swept and mopped, and carpets are vacuumed, even the carpet in the seldom used living room. The difference is that once all the clothes are washed, dried and put away, dishes are cleaned, beds are made and knick-knacks are dusted, that is it for the day. Anything that gets used or otherwise messed up will be left till the next day when the cleaning process begins anew. Of course there are exceptions to every rule. If someone spills something it will be cleaned up immediately and food is put away after meals, but the bulk of the housekeeping is done only on a daily basis.
The housekeepers that believe cleaning is a job for the whole family will assign jobs to each family member. These jobs may be ones that are done daily, two or three times a week, or weekly. Children will of course be given the chore of cleaning their own rooms. This is a job that will vary in how often it needs to be done. Of course the beds will need to be made daily but as for the rest of the cleaning sometimes once a week will suffice. The dishes can be assigned to one person only or everyone in the house can take turns nightly. Trash will generally be one person's responsibility, but sometimes it is a shared job also. Washing, drying, and folding clothes is generally left to one person, while it is everyone's responsibility to put their own clothes away. If the family has pets then whomever the pet belongs to has the responsibility of cleaning their dishes, bottles, cages or any thing else they use. Bath time for the pet is another chore that is the owner's alone. Mowing the grass is another chore that is usually assigned to just one person, but may be split and shared by others.
