I am logical when faced with adversity, and I try to remain focused on my values and moral upbringing, which has proven me well in high school. I am a thoughtful person, and I consider all aspects of the obligations of my beliefs; I have great compassion for people in all walks of life and enjoy listening to other people's points of view. Currently, I am a leader of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which I enjoy tremendously. I am also a starter on the varsity softball team where I play first base and outfield. In addition, I have been a leader in the Spanish Club in which I organized all the outside events. Other clubs that I participate in are SADD and Key Club. I have done my best to be socially responsible and to make a positive difference in the lives of others. .
If I am accepted at Longwood I will maintain the excellent standards for which Longwood College is known. I will be an active participant both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities. I will be proud to be part of such an excellent college. .

The softball field is a place where I will always stand out. When I was younger, I participated in numerous activities; however, the activity that was always my favorite was softball. Softball is taken seriously in my town. Our high school team has been district and regional champions, and even state runner up numerous times. Since Vienna produces many great softball players, there is a select softball team called the Shamrocks, and only the "best of the best" players from the region play for them. When the Shamrock's coach called me to try out for the team, I was amazed. The Shamrocks were always the girls that I looked up to; they were the team to beat! After tryouts the coach called me and told me that I made their summer team.
