Liberalism vs. Idealism

Upon taking into consideration the circumstances of the world today, and in the history of our planet, my view is that the majority of all the worlds predominate and most powerful nations undertake the competitive approach to sustaining power. These nations feel that they are in constant competition, and will do whatever it takes to always be one step ahead of the other. This is done by trying to overtake, dominate, or simply endeavor to accomplish advancements in economic, medical and/or technological progressions. These nations believe that their ideas and viewpoints are "right", and therefore they are constantly trying to influence other countries with their opinions which greatly differ from nation to nation. They enforce the idea that the opposing countries political or social structure is the downfall of society. .
The Liberalism approach is an appropriate theory that will be taken upon by people with the advancement in global consciousness. With the education of the people and their ability to take on the mindset and understand the democratic approach, we will then be able to unite and work together as one. .
At this point in time nations are constantly building and investing their finances into their defense mechanisms and continuously developing methods of destruction in order to avoid being destroyed themselves. The world as a whole will continue to be war stricken until we evolve from the realistic or competitive approach to the liberalistic or cooperative way of living. Until we are capable of uniting as one global entity there will always be strife and one will always be weary and untrusting of the other. A wise man by the name of Abraham Lincoln once said, "united we stand, divided we fall. " This statement not only goes for our country, but for the world as a whole. .
