Observation paper - Minneapolis Club Scene

The Minneapolis club scene is very diverse showing almost every type of music from street reggae to the latest club trance beats of today. When I go downtown to roam Hennepin Avenue I had some time to observe how the crowds are on certain nights. Thursday nights at the quest nightclub is a place to go for more of an urban nightclub with a commercially remixed music.
At Downtown Minneapolis there is an abundant choice of nightclubs to go with friends. With my observations on the Minneapolis Night scene I found that The Quest nightclub offered the best scene, music, and lighting compared to any other nightclub playing on Thursday nights.
The outside of the dance club looks like an empty warehouse with black lit windows, almost seems like some underground night club. When entering your approached with the bouncers at the quest. All were big goliaths looking down at me eyeing me to see if it was really me. Passing the old concrete stairs presents even more of a hassle having a bouncer pat me down to make sure there is no illegal substances. I noticed majority of these bouncers were at least six foot tall and heavily built bodies. After all the little irritations I finally saw the dance floor.
When I entered the quest was very dark with majority of the mob crowding the bartenders paying for overpriced drinks. The bars were filled with mirrors making the lighting actually improve. There was also a red lights in the bar seeming as almost flames are rising of the back club showing almost devilish like intent. Six lighted pillars glow like dim flames with an open ceiling overseeing other people socializing on the second floor when starting to walk from the bar. From the fliers that were on the floor it seems The Quest was designed to be a very universal venue accommodating bands to rap groups. Although looking at the main stage was empty with a big "q" logo appearing on it. With their lighting systems it seems like I was in a state of trance with bouncing beams to lights showing textures of dancing diamonds to smiley faces.
