Gun Control - refutation

Gun control has become one of the main issues in the American society for many years. It has also been one of the debating topics for the presidential candidates. Why does it take so long to find a final decision of banning the use of gun for this matter? And even if we can find it, will that be helpful and trustful enough to lower the number of victims who die from gun shooting in a country where freedom is the most important thing? .
Compared with other countries, the national gun control laws in the U.S. are very weak, and safety test does not really exist. Some states are trying to enforce local, county, and state laws regulating the purchase of guns. However, these laws can still be violated easily by crossing state borders, since each state has different laws. Moreover, most of the states have no limit on the number of weapons purchased. There are plenty of theories and "wisdoms" such as "the gun as a self-defense"; but on the other hand, there also exist a few sad facts: the lack of national gun control brings violence, makes innocent people victims, and, in some way, introduces bad influences to children and teenagers. .
A person who carries a gun feels safer because he can solve any trouble with the help of it. That is true in someway, but it might also be the reason for other people to carry guns around as well. Is that trend needful? Does that vicious circle help anyone? The lack of gun control brings violence on the streets where people peacefully live their everyday life. How could there possibly be happiness when these people are constantly intimidated by gun carriers among them who could pull their guns out any time with or without reasons. We have heard of many cases when police officers were shot while doing their duties. If these officers" lives are so likely to be in jeopardy, who can guarantee people to walk on the streets without fear?.
Furthermore, the lack of gun control makes innocent people victims.
