Although this .
appears to be true at first, it actually costs more for the chemicals and equipment used for .
the death penalty than to imprison them for life (Robertson 12). It is almost a never .
ending battle of what costs more, imprisonment or death penalty. In the end an idea could .
come into place. That idea could very well be that the criminals should have to pay for .
themselves to live in jail. They would have to come up with money to support all of their .
daily needs that taxpayers had once paid thousands of dollars for (Warren 1). .
One who committed murder can have time to think in jail about what he/she did .
and hopefully heal and change as a human being. Everyone has the natural right to live. .
No one should have to pay for their right to live. No one should also have to be sentenced .
to death (Robertson 26). However If it is clear that a person is guilty of murder, then that .
person should be sentenced to death (Warren 2). I mean if there is no threat of death to .
one who commits murder, then that person is guaranteed to be provided with a descent .
living environment until their next parole hearing (Robertson 2). .
A big argument for the believers of the banishment of capital punishment is that .
of being wrongly accused for a crime and being put on death row. However it is hard to .
kill a wrongly accused criminal (Kramer 1). For instance, capital punishment may be .
imposed for a crime for which the death penalty is prescribed by law only at the time of its .
commission. It may only be imposed when guilt is determined by clear and convincing .
evidence leaving no room for an alternative explanation of the facts. It may only be .
carried out after a final judgment rendered by a competent court allowing all possible safe .
guards to the defendant, including adequate legal assistance. So basically its almost .
impossible to wrongly accuse somebody that is on death row! .
How would you feel if you were to be wrongly accused for a murder and put on .
