Argentine In Default on Billions of Dollars in US

Argentine President Cristina Kirchner was recently in America this week for the UN General Assembly being held in New York City. The problem with this is, that puts her right in the fire, so to speak. She and her country have defaulted on billions in debt owed to U.S. creditors. President Kirchner has repeatedly ignored the U.S. federal court system and supposedly removed any of her country's assets to outside the U.S. and away from collectors.
With her being in New York this week for the UN talks, U.S. bondholders' have become more upset due this obvious slap in the face to the U.S. Justice system. Add to that the fact that she is scheduled to ring the opening bell at NASDAQ in the middle of our financial crises, while she owes so much, and it has moved from upset to outrage by the financial community.
But there is one thing that the President of Argentina did not count on, and that is the resolve of Americans to keep at something until they find a way. That way is the Banco de la Nacion Argentina, which is located conveniently in New York City. The US Justice system is allowing creditors to attach assets of the Bank of Argentina.
