Person Analysis.
The second step in a needs analysis is a person analysis. Each employee has a different way of learning. Having a person analysis done before the training will help Kudler Fine Foods determine the right type of training for that person. Person analysis involves identifying gaps between an individual's current abilities and the desired abilities required for optimal job performance (Training needs analysis, n.d.). A person analysis is related directly to the employees of Kudler Fine Foods. This analysis can be done on Kathy Kudler, the president of Kudler Fine Foods, down the line to the baggers and cashiers. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and within person analysis the weaknesses can be discovered and made into strengths for the company. A person analysis looks at the employee who needs training and looks at the current training methods the company offers and connects the two to motivate the employee in getting trained. .
Task Analysis.
The last part of the needs analysis is the task analysis. "Task analysis identifies the important task and knowledge, skill, and behaviors that need to be emphasized in training for employees to complete their tasks" (Noe, 2008, pg. 91). The task analysis outlines the duty for each department of the company. The employees will know exactly what needs to be done to complete that task. Tasks analysis records and examines the ways that the company carries out different jobs. Conducting task analysis concentrates on visible steps and recording these with equipment needed, use of hands, location, and any task detailed information. Kudler Fine Foods logs job associated information required to execute the task. This helps management keep records of all the tasks accomplished within the company.
