Out of Power - Smartphones and Battery Packs

The invention of the USB battery pack benefits people who have one or more smartphones, especially when people spend the majority of their day outside or away from a charging source. The product is compact and in a small shape that it is not an inconvenience to take out of a handbag or backpack. However, sometimes people forget whether it has enough power when the time comes to use it. Before carrying the USB battery pack, it is important to make sure it will provide enough power for the amount of time you want to use it. Otherwise, it will not be worth carrying it. I learned this lesson the hard way when the USB battery pack didn't work and misfortunes befell me. I had come to Seattle to study for three months. I remember that was the last week of the fall term. One of my friends, Alice, said she would go to her home country after two weeks. This news saddened us. Many memories suddenly came into my brain at that time. We had discussed assignments together, we had shared our lunch each other, we hung out every weekend, and we had shared enjoyable time together. I came back to the earth and stopped sentimentalizing. We decided to hold a farewell party for her. On Sunday, cities always reduce the bus service so that it took me almost two hours to go to downtown Seattle by bus, generally. I remember that was a wild day. High winds with thunder showers appeared in the sky. I was a little afraid. I was thinking that I would be safe if I stayed home, but I would miss the farewell party. Eventually, I decided to attend the party and carried my USB battery pack.
I jumped on the bus, chose a window seat, and took out my smartphone to search the party's location. That was smart, and then I saw some words pop into the screen, "10% battery less". I did not worry about it because I carried the USB battery pack. I connected it with my smartphone, but it didn't work. I felt something was wrong when I found my USB battery pack was broken or maybe the USB on-the-go had a problem.
