Police Brutality - Irrational and Inappropriate Conduct

Sweat drips off the tip of her dainty nose, a result of the afternoon sun beaming directly into her visage. Her arms quiver above her head as she struggles to hold her homemade sign high. The sign depicts a young man lying, amidst a pool of blood. Signs around her show similar images, all referencing an officer's ferocious wrath. An officer's duty is to protect and serve, for and within their community, not bash it by taking savage actions against citizens.              Police brutality refers to the intentional use of verbal/physical attacks or excessive force directed towards a country's citizens by the police force. Multiple politicians support the use of excessive force towards minorities and countries citizens, in order to maintain a strict peace. Politicians who support the excessive use of intimidation must be voted out of office, and kept out. Politicians spend time glamorizing the common "American Dream"; big house, big car and big wealth, that often that's all we see. Citizens don't dig deeper into what the politician truly is representing. We then are naive, clueless to the fact that a man/woman who supports something as horrific as police brutality is representing us. Aren't we then supposed to be held slightly accountable, because we voted that person who supported the abuse of our fellow man?.
An amateur video went viral in under two hours, gaining more than 9 million views in under seven days. The video shows 43 year old, Eric Garner, being wrestled to the ground by four police officers. One officer is shown with his arm wrapped around Garner's neck, in a chokehold. Garner died after entering cardiac arrest, while being forcefully subdued by officers. This event would have never been seen as the neanderthalic event it was.
