How to Make a Delicious Pecan Pie

Pecan Pie also known as "Sweet Tooth Pie " is a famous dish in southern families. It feels good to eat pecan pie when the best ingredients make it; pecans picked fresh. In some families there's someone that makes a dish that tastes wonderful. Pecan Pie is such a tradition in my family, almost any meal we have includes it (mostly in the south). If it's a big family get together, we have pecan pie on any holiday. If you follow my steps you might create a pie like mine. .
In order to make the freshest pie you must have all ingredients. Such as; 2 9-inch pie crust (graham cracker preferred), 1lb of fresh pecans, 1 can of condensed milk, and 2 cups of brown sugar, a pinch of salt. Graham Cracker crust gives the pie more of settle but crunchy taste. For a more natural flavor vanilla flavoring may be used. Fresh pecans allow the nutty taste to really distribute throughout the whole pie. The sugar is also able to caramelize better with the pecans being fresh. There is less sugar coming from the nut it self not being stored, which allows the brown sugar to attach itself to the nuts and caramelize properly. .
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Heat a saucepan at medium heat. Heat half the milk until its scalded (when its done remove from heat). Then add the pecans, salt, and sugar. This will be the time to add the vanilla. Place back on the stove and stir until sugar is dissolved. Let simmer for about 10 minutes. .
Next, put both pie crusts in the oven for two minutes to warm up (make sure to remove on time to avoid over cooking and burnt crust). Remove the sugar mixture after it's done (don't let it cool or it will hardened). Take the other have of the milk and mix it in the pot. Make sure it is well mixed or milk may leak to the surface of the pie when baking. Remove crust from the oven carefully, which they have become more brittle while warm. .
After pie crusts are out, set on a counter that is not cold.
