My Passion For Competitive Paintball

Today I've been playing paintball competitively for over three years. My interest for paintball all started at the age of 11 when my friend Anthony invited me to his birthday party at an indoor field called Master zone, even though it was 8 years ago, I still remember his party like it was yesterday. My adrenaline was racing; I remember I couldn't wait to get back in the net for another game, after that day I was hooked. Every weekend I went to that same field with my step father Steve, my step fathers friend Rick and his son, my close friend Nathan. After Master zone shut down I started going to my local field called Extreme Rage, this is where I started to grow a passion for paintball, its also where I met some of my very close friends who have also been my teammates since I started playing tournament paintball three years ago, and where I learned the fundamentals of paintball. .
Through meeting a group of kids who have now become very close friends of mine and forming a team I have learned how to properly play fundamental paintball through early Sunday practices that consist of running to my assigned bunker on the right side with the gun in my right hand, and running to my assigned bunker on the left side with the gun in my left hand; switching hands is key to not getting shot on your at the start of the game. The same thing applies when popping out and shooting from both sides of the bunker, switching hands helps show less of my body and marker when popping out from side to side. I used to not be able to play with both hands but before my first tournament it was like second nature. Not only was I learning a lot of moves and the fundamentals from my coach but I also learned and created tricks and moves from my friends that help me in scrimmages and tournaments. .
Although I practice every weekend I still shoot at cans and branches in my backyard, and when I'm not shooting I'm either studying the call outs for the next tournament or watching paintball videos on my phone.
