Abstract.
The RU Sober Program would benefit undergraduate students here at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The problem that the RU Sober Program addresses is that there is no university-based programming provided for students on the weekend. Students will be less likely to partake in such activities if they have other fun choices that the RU Sober Program will provide. There are two models of success that demonstrate that the RU Sober Program will be successful at Rutgers University and they are Project Graduation and RUPA. Project Graduation is an alcohol and drug free event for high school graduates that encourage students not to go out and party after graduation. RUPA is a Rutgers student run organization that provides students with activities which takes them away from the urge to drink on the weekends. The plan is to provide weekly activities that will give access for students to attend fun places at minimal to no costs. Trips will be offered to the Menlo Park Mall, Six Flags Great Adventure, Gamarese Farms etc. Therefore, The RU Sober Program will prove to be an asset for undergraduate students at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. .

The RU Sober Program will be beneficial to undergraduate students at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The problem that the RU Sober Program resolves is that students are not provided alternative fun on the weekends, thus encouraging students to abuse alcohol and party on the weekends. The plan is to provide wholesome activities for students on the weekends to various locations like amusement parks, malls, farms, and aquariums. This Program will teach students how to have fun while not under the influence of alcohol or other drugs that students use on the weekends. There are two models of success that demonstrate that this Program will be successful for creating more responsible students, and they are Project Graduation and RUPA.
