            When a company makes an advertisement, they use different strategies and techniques to lure the audience into purchasing their product. Old Spice is a company that is well known for men's hygienic products and their famous commercials. "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" was the first ever Old Spice commercial. That commercial in order to persuade the audience to buy their Red Zone body wash uses gender stereotypes, humor, ethos and pathos. Old Spice commercials are not supported by statistics but they play with the audience's emotions using humor and sex appeal. .
             "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" aired during the Superbowl in 2010. The commercial features the "Old Spice Man" which is Isaiah Mustafa, a former NFL player who represents the perfect male in modern society. Mustafa is physically attractive and shows the idea of defined abs, muscles, broad shoulders, and a rugged, bearded face. The fact that Mustafa embodies manly characteristics, such as muscular physique and deep voice. He builds ethos as a "Real Man" to woman and men. During the 30-second ad, he does not break eye contact with the camera and commences his monologue directing ladies where to look, "Look at your man, now back to me, back to your man, now back to me." His tone, strong posture, and suave demeanor mimics .
             an alpha male's attitude when he is speaking to women, establishing his credibility as a desirable man. .
             The commercial is not completely logical, an oyster holds two tickets to a concert and the oyster turns into a handful of diamonds. But these events are humorous and nonsensical. The add uses the logic of the popular advertising strategy, which is "sex sells." Old Spice products were geared towards elder men and women, thats why it is called "OLD Spice" but now by sexualizing the product and commercials, the company was "rebranded" and was made appealing to the modern generation.
