It was even reported that the city, where the World Cup is supposed to be held, does not exist. There are many claims that FIFA was subjected to corruption and bribery. Nations have always worked hard to bid for hosting the World Cup, as well as the other important sporting events. Hosting those sporting events, especially a huge international event such as the World Cup, has a lot of benefits to the hosting country. Those benefits include the flourishing of tourism, attracting new foreign investors, and serving as a bargain chip that the hosting country may use in global politics. As a result, the competition between the nations to host such a great event is definitely intense. The bidding for World Cup is usually an expensive and an extensive process.(You'd) In December 2010, the voting for the hosting rights for the World Cup of 2018 and 2022 was held in Zurich, Switzerland. The official candidates were Qatar, Australia, the United States, South Korea and Japan. Qatar won the competition in its final round against the United States; however, since the announcement of this result, many have opposed the fact that Qatar is suitable for hosting the World Cup competition. (Youd) Although Qatar is financially capable of holding such a great event, the decision of choosing the country to be the 2022 World Cup host should be reconsidered due to many reasons.
             It is astonishing to realize that the city that is supposed to host the final of the 2022 World Cup, after only seven years, doesn't exist yet.
